Memory Foam for Seating

Every once in awhile we get an email like the one below:

"I am wanting to try this foam on a motorcycle seat. I think I want to use the 2 inch, but I am not sure.
Any suggestions? "

Or another related question is whether you can use our foam in a chair or couch.

Our foam is just too soft to use for these sort of seating applications. You would need to use a firmer memory foam - one that is firmer and also with a higher density.

The best suggestions we have are either to buy (and cut to size) the Tempur-Pedic comfort cushion (it is 2" thick and a higher density and firmness - and made specifically to sit on), or you may be able to use something like "T-Foam" made by E.A.R. T-Foam has been used for years in the medical industry, and comes in a variety of firmnesses. The best place to find T-Foam would be a medical supply store like Alimed.
