Ever since we've been on the web (we started out in February of 1998 - hard to believe we've been doing business online over 8 years!), we've felt its important for our users to be able to rate our products and services on a third party ratings website. Part of this is that we know we like to read independent reviews before buying a product online. These customer reviews are sometimes more informative than the website selling the product. Also, we think this type of review keeps a web business accountable. If you don't do what you say you are going to do, or your product isn't what it should be, anyone can post a review anytime - and this review will be readable by all a website's customers (especially ours - we link right on our page to the Shopping.com reviews for our web business).

But we're always a bit skeptical of the review that just are shown on a webpage. Unfortunately, some unscrupulous website's put up fake reviews just to promote their products. That is why we've always tried to provide a third party website for people to place their reviews of Healthy Foundations. That way you know that the reviews are for real and that we aren't ginning them up.

But this review policy does come with risks for any business - since we don't control the third party website, we have no control over the reviews, and any bad ones will show for all to see warts and all. This risk is why many websites won't have a third party review site link on their pages. We feel differently - our main focuses are on our products and customer service, so we have always sought to have our customers give independent reviews on our business and let the chips fall where they may.

Well we've been referring people to Shopping.com for over three years now to review our web business, and recently we were proud to earn both Shopping.com's 5 Star Rating and be awarded "Trusted Store" status. For us this was very sweet - it is based on three years of our customer service and product reviews, so it shows we aren't a flash in the pan and our products really do perform well over time. We have extended our introductory bonus offer on our 10" memory foam mattress - free memory foam cervical pillows and a free allergy free, water proof mattress protector - through October 31, 2006. Why did we extend the offer? Well, we just got overwhelmed by the response to our new mattress - to the point where we've been backordered on the Queen, King and Cal King sizes for over a month.
