Facts About Dreams

I found this article on Bedzine.com, Dream Facts, to be very interesting.  The article just lists facts about dreams, many of which I had never heard of before.  Since the article’s author is cited as “guest,” and he or she does not cite any references, it is difficult to know how many of these “facts” are actually accurate, but it is fun to read.

A couple of my favorite dream “facts” from the article include the fact that your brain is more active while you are asleep than while you are awake and that toddlers are unable to dream about themselves until they are about three or four.  (How could anyone figure that out anyway?)

I also think it is interesting that about 12% of the population dreams in black and white as opposed to dreaming in color.  Another cool thing – At some point in your life you have seen everyone who appears in your dreams.  (Really??)  The most common setting for dreams seems to be your own house.  (I think I may buy into that one.)

No matter how true this article may or may not be, it was fun to read.  I wish the author would have backed it up with citations.  The one thing I am certain of is the importance of restful sleep on a comfortable mattress.  A memory foam mattress is becoming the mattress of choice for many people.  To learn more, check out our helpful guide, How to Pick a Memory Foam Mattress.
