Welcome to Pancreatic Cancer online, my attempt to share all the information I've come across in my reasearch into pancreatic cancer and the alternative treatment options that I've come across in my research.

My father passed away in 1994 from pancreatic cancer. During this time, I spent a great deal of time researching any treatment options I could find that had any positive results for pancreatic cancer. I looked for both medical and alternative therapy options, and the only criterea I used was that the option show positive, verifiable results for survival of pancreatic cancer.

Since I know how quick and deadly this disease is, I thought I should try to share the information I came across so that people interested in looking for alternatives for PC wouldn't have to start from scratch in their research. While I don't claim to have information on all the alternatives out there, I have tried to put up information on those alternatives for pancreatic cancer that have these kind of verifiable positive results of any kind.

During our research, we come across a myriad of product and treatment options and from these we culled the ones that made sense to us. We have broken these options into two categories: Self Help ideas and Alternative Pancreatic Cancer Treatment Options.

Self Help ideas are those options that we felt have shown the ability to help strengthen your immune system in general. These types of self help programs are starting to spring up in cancer (cancer centers are beginning to integrate nutrition, mind body programs, etc.), and these types of treatment protocols have shown great power in recent years for helping with other chronic diseases such as heart disease (Ornish program), senility (Dr. Khalsa's brain longevity program), arthritis, etc. Will such a program help pancreatic patients? Nobody really knows right now, there just haven't been any studies done on this type of approach. But given that self help techniques have little downside (few, if any, side affects, can be utilized at the same time as conventional therapy, low (or no) additional cost), and are very empowering to pancreatic patients who want options for helping themselves to fight this cancer, we feel that these self help options are something that a pancreatic patient should consider adding to their treatment program.

Alternative Pancreatic Cancer Treatment Options, are different treatment protocols we uncovered that have had some positive outcomes against pancreatic cancer. Don't be put off by the term "alternative", on this page you will find options ranging from the latest drug under clinical trial (Rubitecan), a designer chemo option that tries to determine which chemotherapy is most likely to kill your body's particular cancer cells, as well as different dietary approaches - including the Gonzales program now conducting its own NCI clinical trial.
