I recently had a question asking for a comparison of our memory foam mattress to Saatva’s memory foam mattress, the Loom and Leaf.
Some basic differences:
We do not use any gel-infused memory foam as it is stiffer and less comfortable than pure memory foam.
We have 2 layers of pure memory foam – 2 inches of 4-lb memory foam followed by 2 inches of 5-lb memory foam. Our memory foam has an open cell construction that increases air flow 95% over traditional memory foam and wicks away heat and moisture 3x faster than traditional memory foam.
We have a CoolMax cover on our mattress, which also helps it sleep cool.
We have a 6 inches of 2.3-lb high quality support foam. Our mattress has firmer, more durable support (our IFDs are higher – measure of the firmness of a foam).
Our money-back trial period is 365 days, their trial is just 75 days.
Loom & Leaf is a new model mattress (2014)
Our warranty is non-prorated for 10 years (full replacement warranty for 10 years). Their warranty is prorated after 2 years. (This means that they do not fully fund the replacement of a defective mattress after 2 years has passed and they fund less and less over the years.)
There are many other differences, but these are the basics.
For anyone interested in our mattress, we suggest you check out our memory foam mattress reviews to see if you think our mattress may be the feel you like. They are all there – good and bad – and many are very detailed. Then, if you think it may be the feel you want, we have our 365-day money-back trial just to make sure you are completely happy.
