Memory Foam Mattress Problems? As Real as Big Foot Fighting the Loch Ness Monster

There are a few perceived problems with memory foam mattresses that are actually myths… Like Big Foot fighting the Loch Ness Monster in Vegas.  Since these perceived problems with memory foam are still rolling around the rumor mill, I would like to clear a few of them up for you.

I found some of these problems in an article entitled Memory Foam Mattress Problems – Real or Perceived? and here’s the real deal.

Rumor #1 – Memory foam sleeps hot.  This one goes back to some problems “leading brand” had with their memory foam mattresses sleeping hot.  The Healthy Foundations Memory Foam Mattress doesn’t have this issue and our low return rate is evidence of this.

Rumor #2 – Memory foam has an odor.  On our memory foam mattress, it takes about 1 day for the “new mattress smell” to dissipate, which isn’t very long at all.  Why doesn’t any one complain about “new car” smell?  Enough said.

Rumor #3 – Flammability standards mean that your memory foam mattress has to be treated with chemicals.  Memory foam mattresses can meet flammability standards without chemicals.  Read our Guide to Memory Foam to learn how.

At Healthy Foundations, we want you to find the mattress that is right for you.  That is why we allow you to try your memory foam mattress for 365 days in your own home.  If you don’t like it, you can get your money back.  We also want you to be as informed about your mattress choices as possible.  Check out our guides to air beds, natural latex mattresses, and memory foam mattresses.
