Hangover Impairs Judgment in Young Adults

I found this interesting article about how, even after the alcohol is out of a one’s system, it still causes impairment.  The study was done in a test facility with young adults between the ages of 21 and 33 (most likely age to overindulge) and was done with alcohol and placebos.  The researchers determined blood alcohol levels, sleep patterns, and the ability to think quickly over a long period of time.

Buy Your Memory Foam from a Retailer that is Monitored by Third-Party Organizations

Before buying a memory foam mattress or topper, check to see if the retailer is a member of, and monitored by, recognized third party organizations like the Better Business Bureau and www.Shopping.com. Look for a 10-Year Warranty to Gauge Memory Foam Mattress Durability

A warranty of 10 years is one way that you can gauge the durability of a memory foam mattress and how much its manufacturer is willing to back up its product.

In judging a warranty, at least 5 years of that 10-year warranty should be non-prorated, meaning you will get 100% of the repair or replacement taken care of for the first 5 years of the warranty. A prorated warranty means that after a designated number of years, the manufacturer will pay a portion of the mattress replacement or repair. A 10-year warranty that has 5 years non-prorated and 5 years prorated means that for the first 5 years, you are covered 100%. For the second 5 years, you will pay a predetermined portion of the replacement or repair.

Many memory foam mattress retailers offer what is called a “comfort guarantee.” A comfort guarantee is just a slick way of telling you that you are getting a store credit. You definitely don’t want a store credit or comfort guarantee and here’s why…
