A Memory Foam Mattress is the Most Comfortable Mattress

A memory foam mattress is the most comfortable mattress…

So says the meta-site SleepLiketheDead.com and its summary of reviews and ratings of the top rated mattress types.  In this review (http://www.sleeplikethedead.com/bed-mattress-review-home.html), memory foam mattresses rate the highest with an overall owner satisfaction rating of 81%.  Latex mattress are a close second at 80%, and traditional innerspring mattresses are the lowest rated mattress for comfort at just 63%.  In this summary, SleepLiketheDead uses a sampling to make its determination, using over 6000 samples for the innerspring and memory foam results and just over 1000 for the latex results.  According to the site, their mattress data is based on “20,356 Owner Experiences Gathered From 948 Sources.”  So is this perfectly accurate?  It’s hard to say as this type of sampling is not an exact science, but, using this site’s sampling method, it is clear that memory foam is widely considered the most comfortable mattress.

All Our Foams Are CertiPUR-US Certified And No FR Chemicals Added

It is very important to me that the foams we use in our mattresses and toppers be as safe and healthy as possible. That is why I’m happy to say that working with our manufacturers, we’ve been able to get all the foams we use to be both CertiPUR-US certified as well as no longer using any FR chemicals (chemicals that are often added to help the foams pass the fire safety regulations).

Memory Foam Mattresses: Comfortable Support for All Your Nooks and Crannies

Does a body really have nooks and crannies?  I think that may be an English muffin.  I think a body has curves and contours, but at least you knew what I was talking about.

A memory foam mattress is extremely comfortable.  It’s temperature sensitive which means it uses your body’s heat to gently mold to all of your individual curves and contours.  It does the same thing for your sleeping partner’s completely different curves and contours.  Memory foam reduces pressure points and the need to toss and turn to get comfortable.  When you do change positions, memory foam “remembers” its shape and then gently settles in to your new sleeping position.

Healthy Foundations’ Comfort Matrix Construction

Why is our Healthy Foundations 10″ Memory Foam Mattress so comfortable that 96% of its over 400 reviewers would recommend it to a friend? It’s quite simply due to our unique proprietary Comfort Matrix Construction™. What is our Comfort Matrix Construction™ and why is it so comfortable?

Our 5-layer Comfort Matrix Construction™ starts with two layers of our boutique memory foam – a 2″ layer of 4-lb density foam followed by 2″ of 5-lb density foam.  This memory foam is made by a small boutique memory foam manufacturer that specializes in memory foam.  Its open cell construction increases air flow by 95% and wicks away heat and moisture three times more than traditional memory foam.  The base foams are 2.3-lb density airflow top configuration base foams.  These base foams are a higher density than found in less expensive memory foam mattresses (1.5 – 1.8-lb densities are common) and are designed to increase airflow.  The bottom base foam has an IFD/ILD of 50 and the base foam above it has an IFD/ILD of 31 (firmer foams have higher numbers).  The final layer of the 5-layer Comfort Matrix Construction™ is the CoolMax™ cover which also helps our memory foam mattress sleep cooler.  (Just 1/2 of 1% of our returns are for the mattress sleeping too hot – a common problem for many memory foam mattresses that we have improved upon.)

How to Select a Latex Mattress

A came across this blog, Your Guideline On How To Select Latex Mattress, but it really leaves a lot to be desired.  One thing the blog does have spot-on, however, is the fact that the popularity of latex mattresses is on the rise.

One thing that I find that irks me is when a writer uses the terms “latex mattress” and “natural latex mattress” interchangeably.  Up to eighty percent of latex mattresses are synthetically made using unnatural petrochemicals.  If you want a true natural latex mattress, you need to make sure that your natural latex mattress is 100% natural and botanically derived.

Memory Foam With an Open Cell Structure: What Does That Mean in Terms of Comfort?

Our unique memory foam is made by a boutique memory foam company that specializes only in memory foam. This specialization means that their focus is on creating the most comfortable memory foam possible. What does that mean for our memory foam, exactly?

Our memory foam is made with an open cell structure.  That means it has a 95% greater air flow and wicks away moisture and heat three times more than traditional memory foam.  This means that not only is it extremely comfortable, but that it sleeps much cooler than traditional memory foam.  The Healthy Foundations 10″ Memory Foam Mattress is so much cooler than traditional memory foam that only 1/2 of 1% of our returns are for heat.

What’s a Healthy Height Off the Floor For Your Mattress?

There’s a few schools of thought on this question. But what we’ve found is that by being able to sit on the side of your bed, and having your feet being able to reach the floor (heel and toes), keeps your body in a good posture, both getting in and out of bed. This tends to make it easier on your back and knees. If your existing bed isn’t this height off the floor, a good way to figure what is a good height is to measure by sitting on a chair that just gets your feet to hit the floor (heel and toes), and measuring that chair height (then adding two or three inches to compensate for your mattress compressing a bit as you’d sit on it). Then you can measure your frame height off the floor, then your foundation, then your mattress. If your mattress height off the floor is too high, then you can look into a lower profile foundation or a bed frame that’s lower. If your mattress height off the floor is too low, then you can look into a higher profile foundation or a bed frame that’s higher.

Memory Foam Mattress: Check One Out for Absolute Comfort!

Memory foam mattresses are becoming more and more mainstream as people learn about their comfort and durability.  A memory foam mattress is temperature sensitive, which means it uses your body’s heat to gently mold to each and every contour of your body.  This reduces pressure points and the need to toss and turn to get comfortable. When you do change positions, the memory foam returns to its original shape and gently readjusts to your body’s new position.
